You may use the * character for a multi-character wildcard, and/or the ? character for a single-character wildcard.

Searching Descriptions

There are two boxes you can use to search descriptions.

For words you type into the "Look for" box, if all of the words are found in the description (in any order), then the item will be returned in your search.

For words you type into the "Don't want" box, if any of the words are found in the description (in any order), then the item will not be returned in your search.

To look for words next to one another (a phrase), use the single wild card instead of the space. This ties the words together. For instance, "car kit" will find "car kit", "kit car", "car chassis kit", "kit of car parts" and so on. "car?kit" will only find "car kit".

Searching Part Numbers

To search for a TRX4911, you can type TRX49 or TRX4911. We will match any remaining portion of the part number for you automatically.

Searching by Manufacturer

To search for parts by Traxxas, left-click on the Manufacturer list and type the letter T which will quickly jump to the section of the list that begins with the letter T. Click the scrollbar down (at the right) until you reach Traxxas, then click on Traxxas.

From this point on, only Traxxas parts will be returned in your searches. To turn this feature off, choose the top-most entry that reads -- All Manufacturers --

Sorting

You can sort your search results so that they are ordered by part number, or by high or low price. This does not change what results you get for a particular search, just the order they are presented in.

In-stock Items

If you check the box that reads "Only Items In Stock" then your search results will not contain any items that are out of stock.

Thumbnails

If you check the box that reads "Show Thumbnails in Search Results", then your search results will show thumbnails where we have them available for the particular search result. Thumbnails slow down search results a little bit, because we have to send more data to your web browser; you may want to consider turning them off if you have a poor connection.

Items with Pictures

If you check the box that reads "Only Items With Pictures", then your search results will not contain any items that do not have pictures.

Searching by Price

You can use the "Priced Over" and "Priced Under" boxes to set prices that will limit what items are returned in your search. Amounts are US dollars.

Tips:

• Searches work the same if you use lower case, or upper case - it doesn't matter.

• Searches are limited to a reasonable number of results to optimize server performance and site bandwidth. Also, searches that are too broad (like only *) will not be processed.
